Dr Christian Schröder
Christian is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Science & Planetary Exploration at the University of Stirling. His overarching research interest is in the (bio)geochemical iron cycle and its interaction with the carbon cycle. The role of iron in carbon transport, sequestration, and preservation processes has implications on Earth and other planetary bodies such as Mars. Christian heads the Mössbauer Spectroscopy laboratory for Earth and Environment (MoSEE). He is the convenor of the SAGES Source to Sea Forum as well as a member of the European Space Agency’s ExoMars Rover Science Operations Working Group.
