Based at the University of Stirling, I have continued to pursue my passion for studying the marine environment by studying the submarine geology of western Scotland. It’s a real privilege to be funded to advance our current knowledge and understanding of carbon within Scotland and be able to spend time on research vessels with many other like-minded researchers.
Project: Scotland’s Pockmarks: understanding the link between gas-escape features and buried carbon in fjordic systems.
Supervisors: Dr Tom Bradwell, Dr John Howe, Prof. John Baxter
Keywords: Pockmarks, gas-release, methane, bathymetry.
