Simone gained her undergraduate degree in American Studies from the University of Heidelberg, Germany in 2017. In her thesis, she looked at environmental injustice in the U.S. She then moved to St Andrews for the MSc programme in Sustainable Development, from which she graduated in 2018. Simone is currently in the second year of her PhD at the University of St Andrews..
